Peppy Peeps Australia ships Australia-wide with Australia Post. We offer regular and express post options. Please allow 1-2 days processing time in addition to Australia Post transit estimates.

We do not currently offer shipping to any other countries.

What is the return and exchange policy?

Peppy Peeps Australia wants you to be completely happy with your purchase. If there are any issues or concerns, please feel free to contact us here or via email at peppypeepsaus@gmail.com.

Non-sterile items: 7-day ‘change of mind’ return or exchange for unused items in original condition and packaging (where relevant). Postage costs to be covered by the buyer.

Sterile items: Unfortunately, sterile items are not eligible for ‘change of mind’ return or exchange. Please choose carefully.

Faulty items: Faulty items will be replaced or a refund provided in compliance with Australian consumer laws.

Peppy Peeps Australia does not sell or supply any medications or peptides.

How do I use a medication pen?

What is the capacity of the medication pens?

All of the medication pens sold by Peppy Peeps Australia take standard 3mL cartridges and can deliver individual doses of up to 60 units (0.6mL).

Do the medication pens need any modifications or adaptors?

No. The medication pens sold by Peppy Peeps Australia are ready to use straight out of the packet.

How many pen needles do I need?

It depends on the number of doses of medication that are in each vial and the total number of vials you have. You can estimate the number using the following steps.

  1. Divide the total amount of medication in the vial by your desired dose (eg. 30mg vial, divided by 5mg dose, gives 6 doses per vial)

  2. Multiply the number of doses by the number of vials you have (eg. 6 doses per vial, multiplied by 10 vials, gives 60 doses)

  3. For this example, you would need about 60 pen needles.

What is bacteriostatic water?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water that contains a small amount of alcohol (0.9%) to impair bacterial growth. Bacteriostatic water should be used (rather than regular sterile water) when the solution will be stored for more than a few hours.

How much bacteriostatic water should I use?

This will depend on the specific peptide you are reconstituting. You will need to keep in mind that the pen cartridge has a 3mL capacity and can deliver up to 60 units per dose.

Can I use one medication pen and swap the cartridges for different peptides?

Technically, yes, you can use one medication pen and swap between multiple cartridges. However, a significant benefit of using medication pens is saving time and making the process less complicated. For that reason, we recommend having one medication pen for each peptide you are using.

Can I mix multiple peptides into one cartridge?

Short answer, no. Each peptide should be reconstituted into its own cartridge. Peptides are not always compatible, so it’s not a good idea to mix them without doing some research first.

Are the cartridges reusable?

No, they are a single-use product and should be discarded once empty.

Why should I label my medication pens?

For safety purposes, it is important to label your medication pens and/or cartridges with information about what they contain. Many peptides create a clear solution, so it is easy to mix them up if they aren’t labelled.

As a minimum, you should record the peptide name, date of reconstitution, the amount of peptide, and the volume of bacteriostatic water.

Why should I filter my peptides?

Filtering your solution removes contaminants that may have been inadvertently introduced during the manufacturing and/or reconstitution process. Filtering adds a layer of safety to the process of reconstitution.

The filters supplied by Peppy Peeps Australia (0.22um) create a sterile solution. This means they remove contaminants larger than 0.22um (like bacteria), while allowing the peptides to pass through. They do not filter out other small contaminants like endotoxins or heavy metals.

How do I test my peptides and which tests should I be requesting?

It is important to independently test your peptides. You shouldn’t rely on test results provided by suppliers as they are often unreliable. You can organise your own testing, or join a testing group with other people with the same peptide, supplier, and batch.

The most reputable testing company is Janoshik (https://janoshik.com/).

Basic peptide analysis will include identification (what peptide is in the vial), mass (how much peptide is in the vial), and purity (how pure is the peptide).

As filtering does not remove endotoxins or heavy metals, testing for these contaminants is also a good idea. When ordering an endotoxin test with Janoshik, you should specifically request the ‘greater than 10EU’ option if your vial contains 2 or more doses.

What are endotoxins and how much is acceptable?

Endotoxins are a component (lipopolysaccharide or LPS) of the outer cell membrane of certain bacteria. They remain after the bacterial cell has died and broken apart, meaning they can be present even after proper sterilisation. Endotoxins are very small particles and can not be removed by filtering.

Endotoxins are acceptable in small amounts; however, in large quantities can cause fevers, inflammation, or trigger an immune response.

The FDA (American Food and Drug Administration) endotoxin limit for injectable medications is 5EU/kg/hr. You can replace ‘hr’ with ‘dose’ (ie 5EU/kg/dose) in most cases. If you are using multiple peptides, you will need to consider the total amount of endotoxin for all of the peptides you are using at the same time.

Most commercial pharmaceutical companies will use 0.5-1EU/kg/dose (usually based on a 70-80kg person) as their quality control limit (ie. much lower than the FDA maximum).

Less than 0.5EU/kg/dose is exceptional

0.5-1EU/kg/dose is excellent

1-2.5EU/kg/dose is acceptable

2.5-5EU/kg/dose is questionable

Greater than 5EU/kg/dose is unacceptable

The test results from Janoshik will be reported as the total amount of endotoxin in the vial. You will need to calculate how much endotoxin will be in each dose, and determine whether that is appropriate based on your body weight.

  1. Take the endotoxin result and divide it by the amount of medication in the vial (eg. 536EU / 30mg = 17.9EU/mg)

  2. Take that number and multiply it by your intended dose (eg. 17.9EU × 6mg = 107.4 EU/dose)

  3. Divide that number by your body weight in kilograms (eg. 107.4EU / 70kg = 1.53EU/kg/dose)

  4. (Optional) Add this number to the results for any other peptides you intend to use within the same hour

  5. Compare to the reference ranges above (eg. 1.53 is in the ‘acceptable’ range of 1-2.5EU/kg/dose)
